Columba Gonzalez PhD: Beyond Borders

Humans and monarch butterflies across North America

Columba Gonzalez PhD, is an researcher, author and teacher. She has studied the migrant monarch butterfly at critical knots of its migratory path across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. With her research she attempts to understand what monarch butterflies tell us about the distribution of power, Indigenous knowledge, human migrations and trade between countries. 

Building her website was full of discovery and amazement. We were able to showcase her work as a researcher, created a reference for her students and created a place to know more about her publications and media presence.
